<p>Helen Renée Vance Wright of Texarkana passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at a local care facility. She was 74.</p><p><br></p><p>Renée was born November 23, 1948 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Herbert Lee “Red” and Sarah Jo Williams Vance. She retired from teaching at Malta ISD after 35 years and held the honor of being listed in “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”. After retirement she continued to tutor her students and taught art classes in her home. She loved her students and took great joy in keeping up with them and their accomplishments. Renée was a member of Westside Church of Christ where she was a dedicated teacher of children’s Bible classes and a sponsor for Leadership Training. Called Née Née by her beloved family, Renée was so proud of her large extended family. She loved to travel and spent any chance she had with her grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death her parents.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Melanie Wright of Gilmer, Texas, Ayric and Robyn Wright of Gilmer, Texas, and Adam and Joe’Ann Wright of Texarkana, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Warren Tabor of Levelland, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Terri Vance of Nashville, Tennessee; her ex-husband and father of her children, L.A. Wright of Texarkana, Texas; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p><p></p></p><p>Services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Steve McIntosh officiating. A private interment will be held at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.</p>
