Judy Katherine Hallmark, age 80, passed away on December 1, 2022, in Athens, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1942, in Brownsboro, Texas to Luther Melvin Farmer and Vinnie Blanche (Barton) Farmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sammy Farmer and Raymond Farmer; daughter, Dewana Hallmark.

Judy retired from the Athens Daily Review where she enjoyed working for 27 years. She had a love for animals and birds. Especially enjoyed watching the birds in her later years. Judy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Athens. She loved people and was very caring. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Dewayne Hallmark; son, Clay Hallmark; grandchildren, Zachery Hallmark and wife Kimberly, Seth Jones and wife Amber, and Crystal Jones; great grandchildren, Braxton Hallmark, Aubrey Hallmark, Owen Hallmark, Kyle Jones, Carli Jones, and Ethan Brown; sisters, Charlotte Zost and Sula Riley; along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
