The family of Kenneth Bulych of Ituna, beloved husband of Lydia Bulych sadly announce his passing on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Kenneth was 73 years of age. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5th at 11:00a.m. from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ituna. The interment will take place at a later date. Kenneth Andrew Bulych was born on June 26, 1949 at his grandparents home in Ituna; a son of William & Evelyn (nee Gray) Bulych. Kenny grew up in Jasmin, SK and moved to Ituna in 1967.  Shortly after coming to Ituna he began working with his uncle John, pushing bush and the Dept. of Highways. In 1968 he began employment with the Ituna CO-OP, and became a valued employee there for the next 24 years. While working at the CO-OP he also farmed with his dad and worked with his father-in-law doing home renovations. After his fathers passing in 1991, he took over the Bulych family farm. In 1998 Ken decided to sell the farm, eventually buying a Bobcat and running Ken’s Bobcat Services until health issues forced his retirement in 2018.

On April 22, 1972 he was united in marriage to Lydia Purcha, the couple celebrated 50 years this year. They raised a family of four children: Cindy, Jolene, Ryan and Cherie; and have 10 wonderful grandchildren.  Kenny loved music, playing cards, and watching sports on TV. He had a good group of friends and looked forward to his daily coffee with them. He enjoyed family gatherings and his grandchildren coming to visit, especially during the holidays. He was proud to attend all his grandchildren’s activities and sports.

Predeceased by his parents, William and Evelyn Bulych; brother Brian; sister Dorothy Kiriazopoulos; brothers-in-law Larry Bohach, Dave Vass and Bill Kiriazopoulos; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.  He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory his wife Lydia; daughter Cindy and her children Dawson & Jayvn; daughter Jolene (Cam) and their children Noah (Brooke), Daelyn & Carsten; son Ryan (Leslie) and their children Grace and Ella; daughter Cherie (Josh) and their children Thaya, Everett & Cole.  Also brothers Darryle (Tracy), and Barry; his mother-in-law, Rose Purcha; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and many good friends.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre.
