Funeral service for Mrs. Ellen Drew Reaves, 58, of Alpine will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Burial will follow the service at United Fellowship Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation for Mrs. Reaves will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Mrs. Reaves died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at NEARMC.

Preceding Mrs. Reaves in death are her parents, Andrew and Eunice Silas Duncan; and one brother, Gordan Duncan.

Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Reaves are her husband of 21 years, Brian Reaves; one son, Corey Casey; one grandson, Jaxson Hunter Casey; six siblings, Barbara Smith, Melba Watts, Pamela Thrower, Robert Wayne “R.W.” Duncan, Norman Duncan (Phyllis), and Gary Duncan; numerous nieces and nephew; her fur-baby, “Baby Girl”; her father-in-law, Tommy Reaves (Linda); and her sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Reaves.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mrs. Reaves was a devoted wife, mother, and Mimi, loving her family with all her heart. She was independent and strong-willed and a true fighter. Nothing came Mrs. Reaves’ way that she felt she couldn’t take on. In her spare time, she loved nothing more than to spend time in the mountains and enjoying the outdoors. Mrs. Reaves was an avid Alabama fan and will be greatly missed.
