Evard passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 27, 2022, at Extendicare Oakview Place. He was 94 1/2.

Dad was born in Moosehorn, Manitoba. He and our late mother Clara (2003) started their married lives on a farm in Moosehorn and began their family. They eventually moved to Winnipeg and completed their family and lived for many years in their home in St. Andrews that Dad built. Our father was a welder by trade, a carpenter and inventor by choice. Dad was always a hard worker and this trait he passed onto his children.

Dad and mom spent many happy winters in Texas golfing and socializing. Our Dad had an outgoing personality and made fast friends with everyone he met. Dad was very proud of his family and their accomplishments. He enjoyed playing his accordion and jamming with his brothers, son, and grandsons regularly.

Recently he entertained the residents At Oakview Place where he had lived the past 6 months.

Evard leaves to cherish his memory his wife Joan (m. 2004); His children Melody (Gene), Gary (Coriene), Greg (Ronda), Garland (Nancy), Myra (Rod), and Michele (Garth); grandchildren Amanda (Tom), Scott (Christine), Terry, Lyndsey (Ben), Darren (Devon), Alana (Derrick), Melissa (Matt), Janelle (Kenny), Lauren (Derek), Brittany, Jarrett, and Branden; great-grandchildren Ainsley, Lorelai, Reece, Rylee, Zoey, Fender, Celeste, Camryn, Anders, Mason, Kacey and Brooks; siblings Dorothy (deceased), Lenora, Jim, Glenn and Valerie and their families, Joan’s family and many friends.

Dad is now at rest with his wife and our mother Clara. We know he is entertaining everyone playing polkas on his accordion.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Reception following the service and interment at St. Clements Cemetery afterwards.
