Michael David McKenzie
<p>Michael David McKenzie was born on March 29, 1978 to Kathryn and Lawrence McKenzie, Jr in Linden, Texas. He joined the Lord on November 26, 2022. Michael grew up in Mesquite, Texas. As a child he was quiet, strong and full of life. Known as Mike to his friends, he was employed with LoneStar Valet for 15 years. It was as a valet that he met his beloved wife Renee. Michael, always a jokester, liked to tell anyone who would listen that they met one night while in this industry, and that Renee chased him all around Dallas - she was just doing her job. Though the story was told in jest, it is true that there was an instantaneous connection, drawing them together, and the two felt like they had known each other forever. They were married on March 14, 2009 and raised three children together, Mason McKenzie, Raven Stitt, and Raena Stitt. </p><p><br></p><p>Michael is remembered as extremely positive and was liked by everyone. He was very social and looked forward to entertaining people in his home. Michael was especially talented at grilling and loved to feed his people. He was a hard worker who almost never missed a day of work and was extremely organized. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching football and playing pool. He liked to be at the beach, or on the lake though he loved being at home with his family the most. His family was the driving force in his life and he relished the easy everyday moments with them such as going to dinner or watching a TV series with his wife, and little adventures like camping and fishing with the kids. They were always by his side. Michael was very proud of his son, Mason; the two had a playful and fun-loving relationship. He was also proud of his step children, Raven and Raena who he loved and cared for as his own. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents Kathryn Ann Kamplain McKenzie and Lawrence Owen McKenzie. </p><p><br></p><p>Michael is survived by his wife Renee McKenzie; children Mason McKenzie, Raven Stitt, and Raena Stitt; and brother Mark McKenzie. </p><p><br></p><p>Services to honor Michael will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2:00pm at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas. </p><p><br></p><p>Donations to the family can be made by contacting Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
