Funeral services for Mrs. Joan M. Matlock, age 90, of Springhill, LA, will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Trinity Worship Center, Springhill, LA with Rev. Jeff Spring officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Matlock was born on June 10, 1932 to J.G. and Addie Belle Walker Martin in Springhill, LA and passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 in Shreveport, LA. She was a very devoted mother and "MeMe" who dearly loved her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan M. Matlock and wife, Rebecca of Springhill, LA; two daughters, Vicki D. Boyter of Vivian, LA, Jamie M. Doster of Springhill, LA; twelve grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; two brothers, Gerald Martin and wife, Susan of Minden, LA, Jackie Martin and wife, Bonnie of Mott, LA; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jerry Boyter; and grandson-in-law, Doug Green.

Pallbearers will be Craig Nelms, Kevin Hartzo, Dakota Whatley, Joshua Matlock, Jarred Matlock, Beaux Green and Wyatt Nelms.
