Barbara Aldridge Lee

Mrs. Barbara Aldridge Lee, 79, died Sunday evening (November 27, 2022) at her residence following an extended illness.

She was a native of Hoboken and lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a homemaker and a very active volunteer with the American Red Cross Blood Drive. She was a member of William Chapel Baptist Church but attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church most of her life.

She was the daughter of the late Tom Aldridge and Flora Altman Smith. She was also preceded in death by a son in law, Jimmy Dixon; three brothers, A.C. Griffin, Glynn Griffin, and Stanley Aldridge; and her parents in law, Frank and Martha Lee.

She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Lee of Waycross, GA; four children, Richard Lee (Christina) of Waycross, GA, Gary Lee of Waycross, GA, Teresa Dixon of Waycross, GA, and Kevin Lee (Brandie) of Blackshear, GA; ten grandchildren, Brianna Hicks, Cameron Dixon (Melissa), Courtney Revels (Walter), Alaina Lee, Storm Dixon, Walker Lee, Amber, Tristan, Emma, and Jaxon Lee; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Asher, and Tucker Dixon; two sisters, Blanche Aldridge (Elmer) and Connie Wilson (Donnie); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home and beginning at 1:00 PM Thursday.
