Mr. Tony Madison Edwards, aka "Hurrykane", 36, formally of Ahoskie, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 in Petersburg, Virginia.

Tony was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina to Cara B. Edwards and Tony White on August 03, 1986. He went to high school at Hertford County High and graduated in 2005. He went on to earn an Associate's Degree in General Education from Roanoke-Chowan Community College. He worked at several different businesses over the years. He enjoyed writing poetry, spending time with his family, meeting new people and making videos. He received an SGA Presidential Award, Outstanding Leadership Award, and other certificates.

Tony had an amazing sense of humor, and always made others laugh. He had a heart of gold and was adored by everyone. Everywhere he went he left an impact on everyone and was loved dearly. Tony was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and most of all a best friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Bessie Edwards and Bradshaw and Florice White; his uncle, Daryl White.

Tony is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cara B. Edwards and LA Chesson, Jr. of Ahoskie, NC and his father, Tony White of Ahoskie, NC; his sisters, Ebony Chesson and Tressa White; his brother, Deshon White, and his three nephews.

Tony will always be remembered for his love of others, his loyalty, and his kind heart.

A Farewell Journey Service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilder's Funeral Home, 921 S. Main St., Rich Square, NC with Reverend Dorian Daniels of New Ahoskie Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at C & B Edwards Family Cemetery, Hexlena Road, Ahoskie NC. Visitation will be held at Tucker Funerals and Cremation, 415 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00 P.M - 3:00 P.M. The other visitation will be held at Wilder's Funeral Home, 921 S. Main Street, Rich Square, NC on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 5:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M.
