Joseph Darrell Barnhill, 58, of Odum, Ga. passed away on November 24, 2022 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1964 to the late, Morris and Mattie B. Love Barnhill in Wayne County, Ga. "Joe" as he was affectionately known by family and close friends, was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and was a "Jack of All Trades" kind of guy. He was a former employee of what was once “Stories” and then “Angels“ Restaurant where he worked as a maintenance man. Joe loved sports of all kinds, cooking and spending time with family and friends. In his latter days, Joe had begun to study with the brothers of Jehovah's Witnesses, preparing to become a Witness.

Those left to cherish his memories: his loving wife of (14) years, Terrie Denise Barnhill, Odum, Ga.; although he didn't have any biological children of his own, he was very instrumental in helping to raise his step children, Isaac Panko, Deanna Panko and Quinton Sanders, all of Jesup, Ga. and a step grandchild, Valaya D'Asia Ross.; his sisters, Angela Latson, Jesup, Ga. and Tina (Barry) Norris, Midway, Ga.; his brothers, Timothy Darden, Michael Barnhill, Daniel (Shanquallis) Barnhill, all of Jesup, Ga. and Jermaine Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother in-law, Johnnie L. Johnson, Odum, Ga.; his sister in-law, Debra Brown, Tampa, Fl.; his brother in-law, Carlton (Joyce) Williams, Jr., Tampa, Fl.; his close friends, Tyrod, Ted and James, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m.

A private graveside (family only) burial will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 @ 12 noon at Odum City Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 @ 4:00 pm at The Kingdom Hall, 2841 US 301, Jesup, Ga. 31546
