Ivan Reed Price, Sr., 89, died Nov. 27, 2022 at his home in Eau Claire.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Bright Star Tabernacle in Eau Claire, with Pastor Mike Fields officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., with the funeral at 11 a.m., and burial following in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus.

Ivan was born Oct. 23, 1933 in McHenry, Ky., to Mamie (Schoulder) and Ernest E. Price. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Clark Equipment Company in 1986 after 32 years of service, and he was president of the UAW for many years. Ivan’s enjoyments included farming tomatoes, hunting, gardening, landscaping, sports, church and family. He was a member and served on the board at Bright Star Tabernacle.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Griffin Price; children: Debbie Price, Mary Pointer, Ivan “Butch” (Debbie) Price, Candis (Kerry) Patterson, Melissa (Dan) Newman; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: James (Francis) Price, Maxine Minton, and Eddie (Pattie) Price; and his son-in-law, Dave Pointer.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family.
