George M. "Mack" Higgins

<p>George M. “Mack” Higgins, 76, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022.</p><p>Born October 2, 1946 to the late Andy and Imogene Higgins, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 20 years having moved from Forsyth County. Mr. Higgins was a retired cabinet maker and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was greatly loved and will be missed. A member of Crossroads Baptist Church, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Emma Lou Higgins; daughter, Rachel Jane Higgins; sisters, Martha Castleberry, Joann Stanford; and brothers, Edwin Higgins and Donald Higgins.</p><p>Surviving are his son, Ralph Higgins, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Kaera Higgins, Amber Higgins, Andy Higgins; sister and brothers in law, Joyce and Lanier Castleberry, Phillip Castleberry; and a number of other relatives.</p><p>A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4 until 7 at Bearden Funeral Home.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.</p><p>Condolences may be expressed at www.beardenfuneralhome.com.</p><p>Bearden Funeral Home, Dawsonville, GA.</p><p><br></p>
