<p>Westerville -- Sandra J. "Sally" Schwab, age 93, of Westerville, formerly of Rittman, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday evening, November 24, 2022, at her home in Westerville, following a period of declining health.</p><p><br></p><p>Sally was born on August 1, 1929, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Attilio and Theresa (Emma) Napolitano and married Carl Schwab on April 23, 1949, in Wadsworth, Ohio. They were happily married for 63 years until his death on July 19, 2012.</p><p><br></p><p>She received her diploma from Wadsworth High School, and following marriage, she and Carl moved to Rittman where she lived for most of her adult life. She worked as an LPN for Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital in the late 60's and early 70's.</p><p><br></p><p>Sally was a member of Rittman United Methodist Church, the Red Hats Society, and performed with the musical group The Swiss Echos. She loved to sing, yodel, and play the harmonica and accordion. Fridays would find her at the Slovene Center enjoying music, friends, and dancing to polka music. </p><p><br></p><p>She loved God and she loved her family. She was very kind and had a generous spirit and a great sense of humor. Her happiness was often found in the simple pleasures of life, such as the sun shining or a simple cup of coffee. </p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are daughter, Barbara (Van) Peterman of Westerville; son, Carlton (Madi) Schwab of Wadsworth; two grandsons, Brett Peterman of Columbus, and Scott (Simone) Peterman of Westerville; four great grandchildren, Bryce, Blaine, Kallie, and Grayson Peterman; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Sam and Frank Napolitano, sisters Mary Sears and Mildred Polley, and an infant brother, Edward Napolitano.</p><p><br></p><p>Private graveside services at Rittman Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Church Residences Hospice Chapter- Franklin County, 2245 North Bank Drive, Columbus, OH 43220 or Rittman United Methodist Church, 211 N.
