Robert S. Clifton
<p>Robert S. Clifton, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on November 20, 2022 at the age of 73. He was a native of Nashville, Tennessee, born on October 12, 1949. Robert leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his wife, Grace Helen Clifton; son, Robert L. Clifton (Alicia Gaudet); grandchild, Alannah Kelly; daughter-in-law, Kristina Cotten Clifton; and a host of friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Joe Clifton; son, Joel M. Clifton; and a twin brother, William J. Clifton.</p><p><br></p><p>Robert graduated from SLU with a degree in business administration. He served in the United States Army Reserve and was formerly employed with Dun & Bradstreet, Gulf Oil, Freeport-McMoRan, and the Naval Oceanographic Office at Stennis. Robert was a former member of First Presbyterian Church and an active member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. He belonged to the Slidell Masonic Lodge 311 and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, target shooting, and vegetable gardening. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
