Age 64, of Peters Twp., passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Sherri Smith for 36 wonderful years; loving father of Brooke (David) Cardile and Morgan Smith; proud grandfather to one on the way; caring brother of Carl Smith, Mark Smith, and Shawn (Alison) Smith; treasured son of Corrine Smith and the late Carl Smith. Also survived by nephews and nieces. Brian was a graduate of St. Vincent’s College and received his Master’s Degree from the National School of Banking. He grew up playing soccer for Beadling and continued throughout college and after. He also was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, sporting clays and fishing. Brian was devoted professionally to Washington County and involved in many Community Leadership Organizations. He served as a Board Member on the Washington County Community Foundation, Washington Hospital Foundation, Inc., Action Resources, and The Washington Hospital. Brian was a Past Board Member and Loan Committee Member of the Redevelopment Authority of Washington County, Committee Member of United Cerebral Palsy and Board Member and President Chairman of Try Again Homes. Since 1997, Brian has been with Washington Financial Bank and has served as President, Chief Executive Officer, since 2006. Brian will be remembered for his hard work ethic, caring nature, and most of all love of family. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd. McMurray, 724-941-3211 on Sunday 2-4PM & 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 12:30PM at St. Catherine of Laboure Parish, St. Louise de Marillac Church.
