Mary Ellen Young (Ellen), 66 of Bonner Springs, KS passed unexpectedly on Thursday November 24th 2022 at her home. Her family is planning a Memorial Gathering from 5-7pm, Sunday, Nov. 27th at the Harrington Family Event Center, 218 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS. 66012

She is preceded in death by her mother Violet E Colvin, father Lester A. Colvin, sister Bonita K. Kenyon, sister Catherine L. Hockenbarger, brother Leonard A. Colvin and daughter-in-law Lisa M. Young.

She is survived by her husband Tommy R. Young, brother David W. Colvin, daughter Sheryl R. Wyatt, son Brian S. Young, daughter Sandra E. Young and three very young adopted children Jadin N. Young 11, Kamryn L Young 8, and Blake M. Young 7.

Ellen is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Riley A Wyatt, Megan R. Wyatt, Ashley K. Young, Nathan T. S. Young, Emily M. Young, and two great grandchildren Carlos F. Gonzalez-Gustin JR., and Miliana J. Wyatt.

Ellen was the kindest most compassionate wife, mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with all of her loved ones. She enjoyed fishing and camping and loved to sit around a nice fire pit. She just loved to be surrounded by family and thoroughly enjoyed her great grand babies. Her laugh was truly contagious. We will miss her laughter.
