Hershel G. Nugent, 74, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Hershel was born in Tell City, Indiana on April 12, 1948 to the late Lester R. Nugent and Mary Helen (Finney) Nugent.

Hershel retired in 2001 as a truck driver after 32 years on the road. He enjoyed wrestling, UK Basketball and most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Nugent; Brothers, Lester “Sonny” Nugent Jr., Lloyd Nugent, and Luke Nugent.

Hershel is survived by his son, Chris Nugent; Granddaughters, Breanna Nugent, and Brittany Brumfield; Great-granddaughters, Clara Jo, and Addy; Companion, Bobbie York; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Tell City, Indiana.
