The lord came for Paula on the evening of November 11, 2022 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Paula was born in Galveston Tx on April 6th 1964. She graduated from O’Connell High School and moved from the island to the mainland soon after that. She went down many meaningful career paths including being the supervisor of pre trail release for Galveston county , a case manager at the Galveston housing authority ,and her favorite of all a special needs teachers aid at LA Morgan in Galveston. Everyday she would come home with a huge smile and talk about the day she had with her students. Paula is preceded in death by her mother Isabel Costello and survived by her one and only child Sarah Salazar, brother Joseph Costello, sister Theresa Costello ,and her Barboza, Dressman , Lopez , Salazar and Skadowski nieces and nephews. Paula’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022  on 19th and seawall in her hometown of Galveston Island Tx at 2pm. She loved the Dallas Cowboys so everyone wear your cowboys gear 💙.
