Paul V. Garrett

<p> Paul V. Garrett, 84, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 6, 1938, the son of Arkley Osvil Garrett and Ova Della (Matthews) Garrett.</p><p><br></p><p> Paul graduated from Cumberland High School in Burkesville, KY. He honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. After which, he continued in the National Guard for several more years. He married his best catch, Linda Lou Knoblock, on September 26, 1975. Paul was a devoted fisherman and enjoyed sharing his catches with his family. He was an avid reader and frequent patron of Willard Library where he worked part-time after retiring.</p><p><br></p><p> Paul is survived by his children, Andrew (Patricia) Garrett of Hopkinsville, KY, Jeffery (Dottie) Garrett of San Antonio, TX, Timothy Conrad of Kalamazoo, MI, Rodger Conrad of Battle Creek, MI, Candi (Russell) Adkins of Battle Creek MI, and Richard Conrad of Sorrento, FL; Grandchildren, Alexandra Garrett, Nicholaus Garrett, Carrie Cooper, Ryan Conrad, Timothy Conrad, Jr., Heather Duncan, Maggie Bibbings, Joshua Conrad, Amber Votava, Sara Yenor; several great-grandchildren and two special nephews, Chuck Lewis and Don Knuckles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Garrett in May of 2022, his father, Arkley Osvil Garrett; mother, Ova Della Garrett; and siblings, Clarice, Mildred, Faye, and Doug.</p><p><br></p><p> Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held at the Floral Lawn Memorial Garden Chapel on Dec. 9, at 11:00 am. </p><p><br></p><p> Arrangements by the Baxter Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, www.baxterfuneral.com, 269-788-9800.</p>
