John Scott Vogt Obituary

John Scott Vogt born October 2, 1954 left us on November 24, 2022. John was the much loved father to Jennifer Vogt and devoted grandfather to George Hitchcock.

John was born the first child to George and Betty Vogt in Atlanta Georgia and moved with his family to Nashville, Tennessee as a child.  He was the big brother to siblings David, Suzanne(Sutton) and Catherine (Hollo).  He attended Hillsboro and Pearl High Schools.  He spent his adult life in the Nashville area where he earned a living as an electrician.

John enjoyed the simple pleasures.  Jenny remembers many episodes of piling into his van with her cousin Danielle and hitting the road for fishing trips and other outdoor adventures.  John was a Cardinals baseball fan. He was a master of crossword puzzles and had a fondness for honkytonks and beer joints.

John was vitally involved in the care of his father, George during his convalescence and eventual decline brought upon by Parkinson's disease.  John made it possible for George to remain in the comfort of his own home providing him with devoted and constant care.

A wake will be held in celebration of John's life at Brown's Diner on December 17th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Details for a graveside service will be announced at a later date.

Brown's Diner address:  2102 Blair Blvd, Nashville TN 37212
