John L. Lorenz

<p>John L. Lorenz, 57, of New Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Park Village Health Care Center of New Philadelphia.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on January 10, 1965, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Peggy (McMillin) Lorenz.</p><p><br></p><p>John was a 1983 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He had worked at Marsh Lumber. He attended Jerusalem Church and was a member of the New Philadelphia Elks where he served as an exalted ruler.</p><p><br></p><p>John will be greatly missed by his children; Lindsey (Brandon) Palmer and Mitchell (Amy) Lorenz both of New Philadelphia; his grandson, Thomas John Lorenz; his sister, BJ (Bill) Gano of Newcomerstown; along with three brothers, Robert (Cindy) Lorenz of New Philadelphia, James (Chris) Lorenz of Wadsworth, and Bill (Jennifer) Lorenz of Wadsworth.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of John’s life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Hendershot officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 am. Following the service, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Burial will take place at Stone Creek Cemetery at 2:00 pm. We were neighbors in Stonecreek, attended NPHS and rode the school bus together. Johnie always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. What a brave man he was. I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for all of the family,
