<p>Elden Claire Aspenson </p><p><br></p><p>77, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on November 23, 2022, at Mission Point Nursing of Superior Woods.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin on November 3rd, 1945, son of the late Selbert and Olive (Sheffield) Aspenson. </p><p><br></p><p>Elden married Rae Dawn Haines on April 5, 1969, in Richland Center, Wisconsin.</p><p><br></p><p>Elden graduated from Viroqua High School and served his country with the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He worked for Richland Center Utility Company and Pace Industries in Wisconsin. Elden enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, and baseball.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rae; sons, Adrian (Jen) and Brendon (Amanda) Aspenson of Marysville, Michigan; six grandchildren, Anthony (Arica), Dustin, Jordon, Gavin, Morgan, and Aiden; two great-granddaughters, Madison and McKenna; sister, Louis Mickleson of Gays Mills, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Selbert and Olive Aspenson; brothers, Ronald Aspenson and Orland Aspenson; and sister, Joyce Aspenson.</p><p><br></p><p>A gathering and viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. His son, Rev. Brendon Aspenson will officiate. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorials are suggested to Community Wesleyan Church of Marysville.</p><p><br></p><p>For information and guestbook, www.smithfamilyfuneralhome.com</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
