Ronald Owen Pettit, 66, of Purvis passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Born in St. Tammany on August 17, 1956, to Robert and Constance (Lewis) Pettit. Growing up in the St. Tammany area he learned to hunt, fish, and ride dirt bikes with his brother. As a child he wanted to be a part of the Boy Scouts, unfortunately, there weren’t any troops in the area. Once he had children of his own that dream changed, and he became a Scout Leader to his two sons. Ron enjoyed building birdhouses, working on model cars, and attending Cruising the Coast every year with his family. If Nascar was on, you were lucky if you caught his attention. Ron will be missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 34 years, Catherine Pettit; three children, Clarice (Tony) Dominguez, Robert (Britany) Pettit, and Michael Pettit; two siblings, Kenneth “Dale” (Pamela) Pettit and Lisa Sonnier; grandchildren, Braylen Pettit, Dalton Armstrong, Julianna Dominguez, and Gabriella Dominguez; his best friend, Randy "Taco" Deaton; and many nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded by his parents, Robert and Constance Pettit; and his sister, Donna Sonnier. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Pettit family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
