David Scott Moulton Obituary

Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,

And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are heard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.

Obituary——

David Scott Moulton

Was a sportsman, a scholar and a very spiritual person. A lover of nature.

A Mensa member .

Excelling at all sports he participated in. An amazing pitcher. Formidable soccer player. He possessed a mean jump shot in basketball. Being a sportsman he could conquer any sport he put his mind to.

A sportsman on the field and off- as it was noted in his high school year book.

His solace was found in Mother Nature. Hearing the voice of God in the ocean, or in watching a Mother deer with her fawn.

He went on to own and operate restaurants.

He became a private pilot.

Goodness in his 77 years he accomplished incredible feats. But, these are just a hint of the man who was David Scott Moulton .

Being an ultra sensitive soul -life was often painful.

He loved so strongly and deeply that his wounds were deep.

Those lucky enough to get given a nickname- earned it. Growing up with his brothers made him stronger and gave him a loving foundation to build his life on. Most of the memories he shared ending with laughter.

All he liked to focus on about his childhood was the love between his Father and Mother and how wonderful it was to be blessed with the siblings he had.

Often guarded-When he smiled at you -he smiled from his soul.

If you were one of the lucky ones to hear him belly laugh so hard he actually lost his breath- just know that was a gift. His laughter was a treasure.

Shoulders big enough to cry on or let you stand on and get a exceptional view of the world that was out of his reach.

If you listened carefully there were always lessons so that you wouldn’t have to know the sorrows he carried.

This man was beloved.

One of my favorite memories is watching him hold his son for the first time.

The awe.

The all in compassing love. The tears of happiness Flowing down his face.

I imagine it was the same for the births of his first three children. I wasn’t there - but I bet it was.

It’s all about love.

You didn’t need to be blood to be loved completely.

If he said you were his - he meant it.

Anyone that knows Dave knows -every action and word is thought out and meant whole heartedly.

Remember the exceptional times.

Remember the love.

Because he did.

He loved you.
