Patricia Ann Browning

<p>Patricia Ann Browning, 82, of Hyattsville, MD, passed away on 11/21/2022,&nbsp;at Adventist HealthCare after a sudden illness.</p><p>She was born to parents Leroy Brown and Gertrude Streaker Brown,&nbsp;on 06/20/1940 in Montgomery County, MD.</p><p>She graduated from Howard High School in 1957.&nbsp;She went on to study nursing at Union Memorial Hospital and graduated as a&nbsp;Registered Nurse in 1960.&nbsp;Patricia worked as a Psychiatric Nurse for a number of years at various&nbsp;hospitals in the Washington metro area.&nbsp;Patricia met Ronald Browning in 1959. They were married on Aug 27,1960 in Clarksville, MD.</p><p><br></p><p>Together they raised 4 children: Juliet, Timothy,&nbsp;Jeanne-deceased, and Theodore.&nbsp;Patricia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ron. They were&nbsp;grandparents to Annelyse Santos, Dustin Haislip, Ariana Haislip, Eliza&nbsp;Browning, Lucy Browning, Ruby Browning, and Halle Browning. She had two&nbsp;great grandchildren; Rockwell Santos and Dashell Santos. She is also</p><p>survived by her sister, Virginia Bassler.&nbsp;She enjoyed working with the Ladies of Charity and the parish food bank at</p><p>St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hyattsville. She was a passionate&nbsp;sports fan and did not discriminate in her love for the local teams whether&nbsp;they were in the DC, Baltimore, or Minneapolis area. She and her husband,&nbsp;Ron, loved to travel and visited Hawaii multiple times in addition to Alaska,&nbsp;Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Western Europe, and China.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>The family has entrusted the Collins Funeral Home, Silver Spring, MD for the&nbsp;funeral arrangements. A viewing will be held Sunday Nov 27, from 2-4&nbsp;pm at the funeral home. Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday Dec 1, 10 am at St Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hyattsville, MD. An&nbsp;internment ceremony will follow the funeral at the Gate of Heaven</p><p>Cemetery, in Silver Spring, MD.
