Bruce Wayne Allen I, 76, of Bloomington, IN, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1945, into the home of Frank and Dorothy Marie (Gilstrap) Allen. He worked as a Maintenance Coordinator for Bloomington Housing Authority until he retired in 1995.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Isaac) Allen; Children: Bruce Wayne Allen II (Angie), Tracy Isaac (Chad), Joseph Nugent (Sarah), Zoe Isaac-Allen, Frankie Isaac-Allen, Bret Cantrell, Toby Morgan, and Dee Gesaman; Brothers and sisters: Richard “Dick” (Susie) Gilstrap, Jean Stafford, Nancy Johnson, Sarah (Rodney) Stalcup, Robert Allen, Gerald Allen, Arthur “Kent” (Lavonna) Allen, and Chris (Janet) Allen; Grandchildren: Kyle Medaris (Amanda), Christopher (Ariana) McKillip, Brooklyn (Michael) Duvall, Jordan Mathis, Hunter Allen, Piper Stephens, Jayden “Gracie” Stephens, Abigail Allen, Arianna Tellaz, and Fe Tellaz; Great-Grandchildren: Jackson, Addison, and Jameson; As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Allen; Brothers: Clifton “Skip” Allen, Frank “Sonny” Allen, Carl Allen, Steven “Stevie” Allen; Sisters: Betty Jackson, and Anne Thorpe; Daughter: Angel Scroggins; and Grandson Colby Coe Nugent.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, beginning at 1:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville, Indiana with Mark Villanova officiating. Visitation will take place Monday, November 28, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, as well as Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
