<p>Marshall E. Jenkins Jr., 72, of Vinton, Virginia, was called home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.</p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall E. Jenkins Sr. and Bessie Banner Jenkins; sisters, Doris Ann King and Sharon Calhoun; brothers, Steve Jenkins, David Jenkins, and Darryl Jenkins; and his hunting friend of 40 + years, Ed Wheeler.</p><p>Marshall is survived by his wife, Scarlet Jenkins; son, Pete Rickman (Debbie); daughter, Tammy Rickman (Jody); sister, Sandra Roberts (Sherwood); and brother, James Jenkins; granddaughter Megan Roland (Adam); grandson Jacob and three great grand-children.</p><p>Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nester officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the funeral home.</p><p>The family would like to offer a special thank you to the excellent nurses and staff of the 6th floor and Palliative Care Unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Riverdale Baptist Church, 1624 Edgerton Ave., SE, Roanoke, VA 24014.
