Kimberly A. LaSalvia

<p>Kimberly A. LaSalvia, age 56, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on November 22, 2022 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Born to James and Anita Telese Conte in Salem, NJ, she resided in Wilmington, Delaware for most of her life. Kim received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Delaware and her Masters Degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. She worked as a Registered Nurse and was the nurse manager of the dialysis unit at Nemours Children's Hospital. Prior to that, she was a transplant coordinator at Lankenau Hospital and worked for many years at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach during the summers and had a passion for collecting shells. Kim's children were the light of her life. She enjoyed time spent with her children and family and proudly watched their sports activities in their younger years. She is preceded in death by her husband, James F. LaSalvia, who passed in 2020. Kim is survived by twin sons, Anthony J. LaSalvia and Vincent F. LaSalvia, her parents, her twin brother, Kevin J. Conte, sister, Donna L. Chakar, in-laws Frank (Joan) LaSalvia, sister in-laws, Cynthia (Sean) Gallagher, Joan Parsons, Mary Lynn (Scott) Keyte, Katie Wysocki, and brother in-law Francis LaSalvia III, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by her beloved dog, Rocco. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1st, from 10:00-11:15 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Rd, Wilmington, DE, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM and interment at St. Joseph on the Brandywine, Greenville, DE.
