We, the family, are saddened to announce the passing of our brother, Gary Luther Moffatt on November 19, 2022, at his residence in Calgary, AB.

Born December 20, 1950, in Sydney, he was a son of the late Arnold and Charlotte (Florian) Moffatt.

Gary had a passion for driving anything with an engine, the faster the better, and had a true sense of adventure. He was self-assured with a quick, intelligent wit, a ready smile, and was known by many for his generosity.

Gary is survived by his sisters, Lynda Moffatt (Gregory Carrigan) and Chrisanne Moffatt Miccolis (Franco) and brothers, David (Debra), Ross and Glen (Gina). He is also survived by nephews, Sean MacGillivray (Gabrielle Papillon) and Ryan Moffatt; nieces, Victoria (Ken) Brosowsky, Elizabeth (Andrew) Fraser, Heather (Brad) Patterson, Jacquelyn Miccolis (Alan Pippy), Gina Miccolis, Samantha MacLean (Mathew Miller) and Jessica MacLean (Riley Hollohan).

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his nephew, Matthew MacGillivray.

A private family graveside service will be held in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
