Geraldine Mae Paxton

<p>Geraldine (Gerry) Mae Paxton was born on August 20, 1930 in Calgary, Alberta to Alice and Claude Tourigny. She died November 22, 2022 in Thunder Bay after a long illness. Early in her life, she was a nurse's aide at Lakehead Psychiatric and Dawson Court but then moved to Toronto where she worked in Social Services. She was a passionate and committed practitioner of advanced yoga and then tai chi, eventually travelling to China with her tai chi group. She loved being 'on the road.' Predeceased by her husband Tommy in 1999, she is survived by her children and their spouses, as well as grand and great grandchildren. Kirk and Darlene, Hugh and Denise, Scot and Brenda, Paul and Tara and finally, Maureen, request privacy at this time. Gerry herself had asked that there not be a service. Deeply heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Hogarth Riverview Manor for their kind and compassionate care.</p>
