Kevin Ronald Wilson Lenoir City, Tennessee Obituary

Kevin Ronald Wilson

The world lost one of the good ones on Friday, November 18, 2022. Kevin Ronald Wilson, born June 5, 1969, was the youngest of five children and the father to three beautiful women. He was a handsome, funny, mischievous, and light-hearted man who desperately loved his family. His girls were, quite simply, his world. He fought valiantly against his physical and mental health issues for years, looking to his girls as his guiding light.

Kevin was a big guy with an even bigger personality. His smile and laugh were contagious, and he always had a story to tell. He cooked, grilled and entertained with the same joy. He was compassionate, never quick to anger, and always there when you needed him.

He was very creative, as well. The man could make up poems and songs on the fly. His musical tastes were diverse and could be a point of contention, especially if you had to ride in a car with him. Speaking of cars, he was definitely an enthusiast. Mustangs, Corvettes and Cadillacs- he was obsessed with them all, as long as they were American made. All of us, at one time or another, had to hear about how we needed new tires or shouldn’t have purchased that make, model or year.

The list of things that made his life whole is a long one. He loved his family, cooking, entertaining, cars and his dog, Jake. And let’s not forget sports. His favorite teams were the Vols, Army, the Bears and the Cubs. We all forgive him for the last two.

There was one more thing that he loved. Candy. And we all agree, he had the worst taste in candy. If he ran out, he’d run to the store at any time of the day or night to replenish his stock. His list of favorites included Good N Plenty, black licorice, Mike and Ike’s and Junior Mints.

He’s up and gone to the store one last time now. We are definitely going to miss this guy.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Wilson and Edna Johnston, Sophia and Millard Partin, sister Kim Patton, and aunt April Partin. He is survived by parents Kenneth and Rita Wilson, daughters Taylor, Maddie and Virginia, and their mother Greta, sister Kathy (Mike) Mehal, niece Jenna (Tom) Kozlowski, nephews Jason (Katie) Mehal and Garrett (Stephanie) Mehal, sister Kara (Earl) Anderson, nephew Hayden (Alexis) Anderson, niece Avery (Wilson) Raines, brother Ken Wilson, Jr., brother-in-law Bill Patton, nephew Christopher Patton, niece Erin Riley (Will) Nuckols, aunt and uncle Adrienne and Ronnie Wilson, uncle Wayne Partin, best friend Judd Smith, in addition to cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and dear friends, too many to name.

We find solace and peace knowing he is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, experiencing the unbounding joy of His love.

Plans for Kevin’s memorial have not been finalized at this time.

Kevin was the best boss I ever had, gave me enough rope to hang myself, but I always tried to make him proud as we had great mutual respect for one another. I worked for him about 4 years at Walter. He loved talking about the scriptures which we both enjoyed. Kevin, you ... Continue Reading
