Clem Kalafut, Jr.

<p>Clem Kalafut, Jr. 83 of Jessup passed away peacefully Tuesday evening surrounded by family.</p><p>His wife of 62 years is the former Karen Ford.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Clem and Ida Cerep Kalafut. He was a graduate of Jessup High School and attended Johnson College. He was an Industrial Electrician and worked for General Dynamics until his retirement. A lifelong Jessup resident he was a former member of St. Mary’s Assumption Church, now known as Queen of Angels Parish. He was also a member of the UAW Local 1193.</p><p><br></p><p>Clem was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and in his day could fix anything. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Levinson, S. Abington Twp, two sons, Joseph Kalafut and wife Kym, Jessup and Jeff Kalafut, Lake Ariel, grandchildren, Melissa Zyats, Jared Levinson, Joey Kalafut and a great grand daughter, Rita Zyats. He was preceded in death by a son in law, Sander Levinson.</p><p><br></p><p>The funeral will be held Monday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup, with mass at 10 AM at St. Thomas Church, Christ the King Parish in Archbald.</p><p>Entombment, St. Mary’s Assumption Mausoleum, Montdale.
