<p>1965-2022 </p><p>Danny Ray Melton was born November 20, 1965, in Perry, Oklahoma and passed away in Ringwood, Oklahoma Novembe r20, 2022. Memorial services are 11am Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in the Stittsworth Memorial Chapel. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.. Dan attended elementary school in Waukomis until the family moved to Drummond, where he met the love of his life at 12 years old. The story of how he met his wife Brenda, has been told countless times throughout the years and is a special story the family will cherish, always. During high school, Dan would work for his father running equipment for the oilfield, which he would continue into the rest of his working life. Running equipment was embedded in his soul, he’d say, something he could do in his sleep. Dan and Brenda married on March 14, 1986 and together they had three children, Hillary, Keith, and Kurtis. After traveling to Wyoming and Colorado for a couple years, they made their home in Enid, Oklahoma until 1997 where they would move to Waynoka. Dan worked for Litzenburger Construction until 2011, after moving to Ringwood where he would continue to work as an equipment operator until he retired in 2019. Dan often joked about selling all his possessions when he retired and traveling the country, although that didn’t happen, he was able to enjoy traveling to many places with his partner, LaJeana whom he was also a loving caregiver. Dan took extreme pride in his children, the life he built with his wife, and his work. </p><p><br> Dan was preceded in death by his brother, Tony; mother Janice; wife Brenda, and son Kurtis. He is survived by his father Tony, children Hillary (Jacob) and step grandchildren Jacob Jr and Seanna; Keith (Sharon); sister Kay (Dusty); sister Shelly and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. </p>November 24, 202211/24/2022
