During their marriage they lived mostly in the Woodward area, their last home was in Fort Supply. Mary went to school to become an licensed practical nurse in 1967 and worked for several years at the Harper County Hospital in Buffalo, Oklahoma, and at Western State Hospital in Fort Supply.

Mary moved from her home near Lake Tenkiller in February of 2017 to Greenbrier in Enid. She thrived in assisted living for over 5 years, and had only recently made the move to the nursing home due to declining health. She was loved by all who cared for her, and she loved them all. She loved to joke and laugh and keep active. She was affectionately called “Grandma” by all the staff.

Mary loved being with her family most of all. She loved to fish, loved to camp, and was a talented quilter and crafter. She also loved her dogs and they were well spoiled and a part of her family. She was a woman of great faith, and read her Bible daily when she could still see well enough.
