<p>Edward C. Monreal</p><p>Age 85 of New Lenox passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his home. Ed was born in Chicago to the late Edward and Anna F. (nee O’Leary) Monreal. Beloved husband of 64 years of the late Joan (nee Buczkowski) Monreal; loving father of Lee (Rebecca) Monreal, Edward (late Cindi) Monreal, the late William Monreal, and Paul (Susan) Monreal; cherished grandfather of Lee Jr, (Kim) Monreal, Dan (Missy) Monreal, Aidan DeRoo, Lisa Malone, Sheri (Bill) Clemente, Kevin (Angel) Malone, Eddie Monreal Jr., William (Gabrielle) Monreal, Amie Monreal, and Rebecca Monreal; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; loving step-son of the late Ruth (nee Arnold) Monreal who raised him since age five; dear brother of Linda (late Hans) Von Westernhagen, the late MaryLou Monreal, the late Mary Monreal, and the late Robert Monreal: loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Ed, along with his wife Joan, owned and operated New Lenox Auto Parts. Ed enjoyed travelling in his motorhome and loved antique cars and trucks. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ed’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 2pm – 6pm.</p><p><br></p>May 17, 1937 - November 22, 202205/17/193711/22/2022

I learned a lot from Ed and Joan when I worked for them at New Lenox Auto Parts. I still have my Car Quest jacket.. I have lost so
