Troy Bittner

<p>Troy Bittner, age 59, of Sterling, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Mercy Health Hospital in Rockford.</p><p>Troy was born December 2, 1962 in Sterling the son of Robert and Ann (Etheridge) Bittner. He was employed with Bethel Reformed Church most recently and also worked at United Parcel Service. Troy enjoyed art, working in the yard, landscaping and was an avid wood worker.</p><p>He is survived by his mother, Ann Bittner of Sterling; two sons, Wes Bittner of Rock Falls and Zak (EmmaLea) Bittner of Maricopa, AZ; one daughter, Rachel (Athan Mireles) Bittner of Rock Falls; three brothers, Timothy Bittner of Rock Falls, Thomas and Tye Bittner both of Sterling; one sister, Tricia (Kevin) Cook of Sterling; two grandchildren, Isabel and Iva Bittner.</p><p>He was preceded in death by his father.</p><p>Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Troy was a very hard worker. I loved it when he would come out to Tim’s house. They both would rake leaves and start up a huge bonfire. He was a very quiet guy, but funny when he hung out with his brother.
