Mary N. Bolger Obituary

Mary N. Bolger, 57, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Weissbach, Jr. with whom she shared 26 years of marriage.

She was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on June 29, 1965, and was a daughter of the late John C. and Alma T. (Bowen) Bolger.

Mary spent the first three years of her life in Waynesboro, Virginia and then moved to Clearwater, FL in 1968 before eventually moving to Chelmsford in 1972 where she has resided ever since. She was educated in the Chelmsford School System and graduated from Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1983. After high school, she attended and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in Boston in 1985. Upon graduation she took a job at Prince packaging in Lowell as the executive assistant to the president. When the company was sold, she went to work for her family’s business, John C. Bolger, Inc. in Nashua, NH. She then went on to work at Acton Medical Associates until 2007. She also worked for The Dual State Hockey League for fifteen years where she made many lifelong friends. Recently, Mary joined BNI, Chelmsford, and was also working from home for Intuit bookkeeping. She was a tireless worker who did whatever it took to get the job done and always improved any place she worked.

Mary loved being a mother to Vin. When he was born in 2007, she became a stay-at-home mom and cherished every moment she spent with him. She lived for every recital, art show, school function and sports activity in which he was involved. She never missed a hockey game or track meet.

In 1996, she discovered Anna Maria Island in Florida and had visited there every year since. She loved spending time there with her family although each visit always seemed too short. Every year brought new experiences and made her long for her next visit. She always said, “Life is better at the beach.”

Mary spent her life trying to improve herself physically, whether it was taking spin and yoga classes, working out at the gym, or going for a run or a long walk. Professionally, she was constantly educating herself on the latest trends in her field. Spiritually, Mary spent time on self-reflection through meditation and putting good out into the world. Mary was always willing to lend a helping hand in any way she could when she saw someone in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband, Mary leaves her son Vin Weissbach of Chelmsford; her sisters, Kate Bolger and Rebecca Small; her sisters-in-law Janice Conole, Dianne Weissbach, and Sandra Palmatesta; and her brothers-in-law Carl Weissbach, Jim Weissbach, and Paul Weissbach. She is also survived by twenty nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her sister Ann Marie Bolger, and her brother John M. Bolger.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
