Edwin P. Sherry, 80, of R. D. Ebensburg, died November 22, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born April 10, 1942 in Spangler, son of the late Leo and Mary (Storm) Sherry. Preceded in death by son, Mark “Pork” and granddaughter, Rebecca Anne Sherry. Survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Lucille Link, whom he married June 25, 1966 in St. Augustine, children; Pat (Sandy McMullen) of Brockway, Donna (Kenneth) Sherry of Northern Cambria, Brenda (Mike) Nealen of Ebensburg, Cindy (Randy) Lanzendorfer of Northern Cambria, Kathleen (Chuck) Dumm of Northern Cambria, Michael (Jennifer Kirsch) of Carrolltown, and Amanda (Tim) Horvath of Alverda, daughter in law, Sherri Sherry of Ebensburg, 28 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother, Eugene (Judy Kirsch) of R.D. Ebensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Edwin enjoyed his International Tractor Collection, especially his beloved  806 International he named “Smokey”, he also enjoyed going to farm and tractor shows, hunting, fishing , four wheeling and his dog Sophie. He had worked at Barnes and Tucker Mines, Carrolltown and for Freight Car America, Johnstown. Member of the UMWA, Steel Workers Union and St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, Rev. Jeremiah Lange, O.S.B. Ph. D, Celebrant. Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Friday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613. www.gibbonsfhashvillecoalport.com
