James A. Slater 64 of Johnson City, died on November 22, 2022. He is survived by his daughter Angela (Bryden) Mertz, grandchildren Sofiah-Lynn Mertz and Micah Mertz, and his siblings Floyd Slater, Corey Slater and Jeananne Swinehart-Slater. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Alice Slater and his brother Chris Slater. James was warm, gentle and kind, he will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held in the near future, the time will be announced.
