Valerie Sue Knittel Lineberg, 59, of Martinsburg passed away Friday, November 18, 2022.

Born July 7, 1963, in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Barbara Jean (Weldon) Knittel.

Valerie was a supervisor for Allied Universal Security and served as a specialist in the U.S. Army.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Jean (Weldon) Knittel; sons, Joshua Beck and wife Heather, Dean DeSana II and wife, Chelcey; daughter, Amber DeSana and Gary Allen Putman, III; grandchildren, Oaklee, Trinity, Rayden, Journea, Everleigh, Tiberius, and Aaliyah; and three brothers, Patrick Knittel and wife Patricia, Christopher Knittel and wife Maria, and Paul “Butch” Knittel and wife Ruth.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at Central Chapel in Hedgesville on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Billy Lee Scott, Jr. and Reverend Keith Walsworth officiating. Interment will be private.
