Thomas Gregory Mitchell Sr., 66 of Toledo, OH went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 15, 2022. Born September 20, 1955, to Carl and Gladys (Sherman) Mitchell. He graduated from Scott High School in 1974 and worked at Ford Motor Company, where he retired. He studied faithfully since he was a little boy under his father Bishop Carl Mitchell at Bibleway Pentecostal Household of Faith until 1990, when he founded and pastored Open Arms Community Church.

He married the love of his life Vester (Vesta) Williams in 1981. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

He leaves to cherish his wife Vester Mitchell, his children Thomas Mitchell Jr., Christina Mitchell, Camille (Mitchell) Jennings, Jerry Jones Mitchell, and VonTrece (Mitchell) Williams. Bonus daughter Cheré (Patrick) Munn. Grandchildren Alijah, Ariah and Julianna. Uncles, aunts, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bruce Mitchell, and sister-in-law Barbara Mitchell.
