MarJo C. Baggett Obituary

MarJo Baggett was born July 22, 1958 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She passed away on November 21, 2022 at her home in Balch Springs, Texas. MarJo is preceded in death by her mother, Joelein Gray; father, David Gray; and sister, Carla Gray.

MarJo is survived by her husband, Danny Baggett; daughters and son, Carla Strickland, Tamara Baggett, and Danny Baggett II, and their respective spouses, Gabriel Strickland, Alfredo Luna, and Jeanine Baggett; grandchildren, Lily Strickland, Jackson Baggett, and Kendall Baggett; sisters, Gina Eagan, Rhonda Gray, Kelly Swaim and her husband Bill, Laurel Dickerson, Sheri Falkenburry and her husband Shane, and Rebecca Christmas and her husband Shane; brothers, David Gray and his wife Sueanne, and James Gray and his wife Kristie Koepplin; and a host of other friends and family.

MarJo’s story began in 1958—a story about love, compassion, endurance, being loved by one man for 48 years and doing absolutely anything for her children and grandchildren. She loved her husband and family and cared deeply for many more. She had an incomparable ability to find joy and laughter in everyday activities. Her story may not be as wild and unimaginable as some of the books she read, but it’s as true as any ever written. Unlike all of those books, her story does not have an ending. She will be with us in our minds and hearts until the end of time.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Laurel Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 12:30. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 until the funeral hour. Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.

Those serving as casket bearers include, Danny Baggett II, Gabriel Strickland, Jimmy Gray, David Gray, Josh Boor, and Alfredo Luna.
