<p>LaMarr Eugene Greely, age 56, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 31, 2021. LaMarr was born in Toledo, Ohio, on August 28, 1965, he was the tenth child to Plumer Mae Washington and Henry Greely.</p><p><br></p><p>LaMarr, first and foremost, was a charismatic brother to nine energetic siblings. He relocated to San Francisco with his mother at the age of 12, attended George Washington High School but chose to complete his GED. LaMarr joined Third Baptist Church and loved assisting his mother, grandmother Elizabeth, and aunt Susie Ann at church events. LaMarr worked several jobs while in San Francisco, including Carlton Auto Glaze Auto Detailing, and US Leasing; he was a Doorman on Nob Hill and was very involved in social and civic engagement with Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation from 2008 until early 2021 until he became ill and could no longer work.</p><p><br></p><p>LaMarr was the type of person that had your back. His energy and humor were outstanding. He was someone who always volunteered and helped to organize and implement community activities and program events. LaMarr rarely said "no" whenever asked to help. "LaMarr was one of our best canvassers for voter outreach", Jaime Viloria, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development. "LaMarr was a kind man who cared about his community" Matt Haney, San Francisco Board of Supervisors. He was also instrumental in social and civic engagement that resulted in having Daldas Grocery &amp; Delicatessen take on the commercial space for 222 Taylor Street in San Francisco. He was a Leadership Academy alumnus, a member of the Community Leadership Institute, and a founding member of the Black Unity Partnership and TL Solidarity. LaMarr's famous words, "Just breathe" ...</p><p><br></p><p>LaMarr met Debra Copes, and they joined in common law marriage in 1998 in San Francisco, California. To this union, no children were born. </p><p><br></p><p>Preceding him in death, parents Henry and Plumer Mae, oldest brother Clarence Greely, sister Shelly Ann Greely, brothers-in-law, Mark Lyons, and Lavell Matthews. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Debra Copes resides in San Francisco, CA, Stepmother, Barbara Greely, his siblings Geruthie Greely, Faye Lyons, his brother Theodore Greely and Albert Phillips Sr.(Pam), Kathleen Greely, Virginia Greely, Sharon Denise Matthews (all of whom reside in Toledo, OH), and Patricia Greely, resides in Apopka, FL; cousin/brother Rayfield Scott, adopted sister, LaTonya Linco (Erwin), and adopted brother, Jermain Smith, both of San Francisco, CA, a host of nieces and nephews, and lots of loving cousins and friends.</p>
