Dorothy Jean Thomas

Dorothy Jean (Woodard) Thomas passed away September 20, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. Dorothy was born March 14, 1945 at Robinwood Hospital to Albert Woodard and Bernice Jordan. She was also loved and cared for by Bernice Woodard.

Dorothy was baptized at Mt. Zion Church under Rev. Benton at an early age. She attended Spencer Sharples and Scott High School.

In 1968, Dorothy met Herbert through her cousin (Clifford Woodard), who she then married on January 26, 1973.

Dorothy was employed at the State Hospital for 15 years, then worked for Chrysler Motors from which she retired in 1990. She loved traveling, fishing, doing for others and most of all cooking.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, mother and step mother, all previously named. Her brothers; Johnnie, Calvin, Albert, Jr., George, Robert and Alton. Her sisters; Janice, Darletta and Bernetta.

Dorothy leaves behind all her cherished memories to her husband for many years; Herbert Thomas, Sr., her sons; Herbert (Loryn), Lamar Thomas, Jr. and Antonio Lamar Chandler, brothers; Dennis, Richard, Johnny and Perry, sisters; Denise, Annie, Virgil, Mae, Rita, Louise and Charlotte, grandchildren; Ke'Airrah, DaJai, Mar'Khi, Phyllana, Adalynn, Loranna, and a host of family and friends. She'll love and miss all of you, but she's with you always.
