<p>Shirley Ann Britter Johnson 86, passed away peacefully on Friday September 3, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 19, 1935, to Wheeler Britter &amp; Dia Damor Spicer Britter. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Howard O. Johnson; sons, Gregory G. Stone Sr., and Brian K. Stone; great grandson Gregory G. Stone III; sisters Veronica Britter, Kay Sudduth, Damor Delores Lee "DD", Joan Nelson, June Williams, and Anita Harris; special aunt Naomi Sharpley and stepmother, Elvine Britter.</p><p><br></p><p>Shirley received Christ at a young age, she grew up at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church to later be named Ebenezer Baptist Church. She later joined Glass City Church of Christ where she worshiped faithfully until her health declined.</p><p><br></p><p>Shirley was employed by the Toledo Public School system for over 40 years before she retired. She was the matriarch of the family, always loving and caring about everyone. She wouldn't allow for anyone to be outside in the cold, family, or friends. Everyone was welcomed into her home, that's just the type of Godly woman she was. She never judged anyone. She would often say "if you not going to help nobody, then don't be talking about nobody." "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing." She would also say "People gone be people and folks gone be folks," which stuck with her kids and grandkids.</p><p><br></p><p>She is already and will always be missed by everyone who knew her. Shirley is survived by two sons Nicholas B. Stone (Annette), and Ralph E. Johnson. Two daughters Lorena D. Johnson and Carla E. Johnson. Two brothers Kenneth L. Britter, and Alonzo Jenkins. Two sisters Gloria Smith and Jackie Britter Smoot. Sister-in-law Willa Johnson. She also leaves behind 30 grandkids, 39 great grandkids, and 18 great-great grandkids. Special niece Joan "Missie" Britter. Bonus siblings Carol Linzy, Leslye Colbert-Jones and Norman Sharpley, her Glass City Church of Christ family and many, many more family members and friends.</p>
