Mr. James Butler was called home on Saturday, June 17, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born June 26, 1942 in Covington, Louisiana to the union of James and Lily Butler.
He worked for Purex Bleach for many years. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Hope Missionary Church for 30 years as well the Users Association of America.
He married Shirley White-Butler on August 20, 1977 and remained in the marriage for 43 years.
He was preceded in death by parents; James and Lily Butler, siblings; Alexander, Elbert, Daisey, Robert, Ben, Janelle, Betty and daughter; Carolyn.
He leaves to Cherish his legacy, wife; Shirley Butler, children; Valerie Russell, James Butler III, James (Toni) White and Anthony White, sister; Ella (Richard) Perry;, brother; Roshelle Butler, sister-in-laws; Doris (James) Polk from Columbia, TN and Jennie Brown from Pulaski, TN, brother-in-laws; Herman (Linda) Gordon from Columbia, TN, and Emmit (Ann) Gordon from Lewisburg, TN, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
