Audrey Mae Kirk Obituary

Audrey Mae Kirk was born to Lawrence and Ida McGowan January 18, 1949 in Albany,

Louisiana. She was the sixth of twelve children.

At the age of 13, Audrey was baptized at the river by the late Rev. Earlo Davis of the Mt.

Kingdom Baptist Church.

Most of her education she received at Livingston Parish and graduated from Greenville Park in

1967.

climb the trees and the one you couldn't catch. She was also able to get her sister Ida (BB) to do

anything she told her to do. She was the one you couldn't whoop and the tiny one, which is

where her nickname "Tiny" came from.

On April . 201968, she married her lifelong partner of 53 years Clarence Kirk. In November of

1968, Clarence packed them up and moved to Toledo, Ohio. She became a member of

Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. TJ Wiggins. She was

a very active member of the church serving on the Usher Board, Finance Committee, Youth

Department, and Chairperson of the Pastor Anniversary. She remained a faithful member until

her passing under the Leadership of Pastor Sylvester Rome.

Audrey worked a couple of jobs with her favorite job being her job at St. Elizabeth School where

she was known as the lunch room "mom". She began foster parenting in 1986 and became a
