Mr. Robert Louis "Bob" Aldridge, Sr. was born in Linden, Alabama on January 1, 1938. He left this life on June 2, 2021 at the age of 83 years old at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Detroit Avenue.

Bob was one of nine children born to the union of Charlie Aldridge Sr. and Nancy Bell (Reese) Aldridge. He accepted Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age at St. Peter's Church in Linden, Alabama. He later moved to Toledo with former wife, Fannie Pearl Darby; to his union with with Fannie, who also preceded him in death, were three sons: Robert Jr., Will and Reggie. In 1962, he became a member of The True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. W. L. Barnes. In 2001, he married Delphine Logan and they have been happily married for 20 years.

Bob was known as a quiet man with a big smile. He worked as a car detailer for the Joe Grogran's Dealership for 30 plus years until his retirement. He loved spending time with family and watching his favorite team, the "Pittsburgh Steelers". He enjoyed watching other sports, as well as playing cards with family members.

He was preceded in death by both parents; siblings, Mrs. Argusta Poellnitz, Charlie Jr., Wilmer, Willie, Walter Aldridge, and Willie Swell. Left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Delphine; his three sons, Robert, Will and Reggie Aldridge; step-children, Michael and Michelle Johnson, and Mariana "Little Moma", Alivia. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruben (Lula) Aldridge, Toledo, OH; sisters, Hortince Tucker, of Buffalo, NY, Ruth (Frank) Orr, of Mobile, AL; special niece, Lillie Pack; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
