Daco Rayshawn Smith Smith was born on January 1, 1984, to Joanne Ballard-Smith and David Smith. Daco was born in Toledo, Ohio. He unexpectedly passed away on March 11, 2021. He attended Start High School and received his diploma between 2015-2016.

Daco was loved by his family and friends. Daco was that person who always had a smile on his face that was so contagious that all you could do was smile right with him. If you wanted a good laugh you could always count on Daco. He was good with his hands and he could fix just about anything. I guess we could call him the handyman of the family and he will be truly be missed.

Daco was preceded in death by his grandparents, Flora Lee Ballard, Ozzie Lee Ballard, Marlene Smith; aunts, Pauletta Ballard Syph, Flora Jean Ballard; and cousin, Edmund Ballard; and bestfriend, Reginald Colbert.

He leaves to cherish his memory of him, father, David Smith (Rhonda), Toledo, Ohio; mother, Joanne Ballard-Smith, Toledo, Ohio; sons, Daiquin Smith, Dasanti Smith, Dereon Smith, Damir Smith, and Darius Smith, all of Toledo, Ohio; daughters, Destiny Smith, Daiyonna Smith, D'ior Smith, of Texas, Dacie Smith, Deja Smith, Hope and Mirqal Pearson, all of Toledo, Ohio; brother, David Ballard (Shawna), Deshawn Smith, Deontae Smith, both of ATL, Tyrone Edwards, of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Sharena Smith, Zadie Smith, Daina Ballard, Yuvette Edwards, all of Toledo, Ohio, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
