<p>William Henry Scott Sr. passed this life on February 21, 2021 at the age of 86 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving and caring family. William was born August 7, 1934 in Sallis, Mississippi to Wesley and Willie Mae Scott. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1955. William married Nancy in Toledo, Ohio and to this union six children were born. William was employed at General Motors Hydromatic Division where he retired from after working for 37 yrs. </p><p><br></p><p>William gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a life long member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church where he served as trustee member of the brotherhood and former choir member. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, watching old westerns on TV and reality TV, his favorite being "Dancing With The Stars". He loved to cook often and had many requests for his peach cobbler and pineapple cakes. William was also affectionately called "Bill', "Daddy", "Grandpa", "Paw Paw" and "Uncle Bill". He was loved by so many. He was preceded in death by both parents; son, Jeffery L. Scott; sister, Rosie D. Taylor. </p><p><br></p><p>William is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nancy Scott; sons, William (Ann) Scott Jr. and Kim Scott; three daughters, Deborah, Shona and Lori; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four brothers, El (Stormie), Edward, Ike (Wanda) Scott, and Robert Fitch; three sisters, Lillie Mae Pettaway, Johnnie Mae Copeland, and Rosa (Joe) Harris; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.</p>
